(x * y (red)/z) + (-x * y (black)/z) + (-x * y (green)/z) = expected win/loss each round

Since red and black should always cancel each other out, the real calculation could be boiled down to this:

(-x * y (green)/z) = expected win/loss

In regards to specific games, we can apply it like this:

American Roulette:

(-1 * 2/38) = -0.053

In basic terms, this means that for every $1 that is wagered online on a specific color, you can expect to lose $0.053

Now let us compare that to European Roulette:

(-1 * 1/37) = -0.027

Because there is only one green number and the total number of slots is reduced, the overall loss probability is nearly halved. Now, to look at it even further in regards to French Roulette whereas the player is returned 50% of their wager if a green were to be landed on:

(-.5 * 1/37) = -0.014

Since half of the money is automatically returned to the player if a green is landed on that means that the actual risked loss if a green is landed on is only half of the actual wager, therefore, making this the lowest probable calculation of them all.
